" What an event by Google.

I wanted to share my small win/experience with you. I attended the workshop as a client (as well as learning for my clients) for my art business.

I knew of having a biz profile on Google but none of the details, hence I wanted to learn. So when I got home, I set up my art business with a profile and it went pretty straightforwardly (1 small glitch but it got resolved).

My learning/success was that I've been trying to improve my SEO on the platform I use for my website and those folks have lots of tools and tips. However, once I set up my Google profile, it immediately had such an improved response on Google search, I was amazed.

I just entered "Jim Wagoner Art" and it popped up my profile, pics, and a pin on the map as well as my website, my other links on other platforms that I've contributed to, and more.

Previously, if I did the same query it would return "Did you mean Jim Wagner..." who is obviously more famous than me and my website would be buried many lines down the results and none of the other places I show up... but only if I knew exactly how to search for my specific details.

So while I didn't think the Business Profile was an "SEO tool" it certainly improved my rankings and availability of my little business from a few different angles...

Anyway, I'm a big fan now and a believer!"
