Fleurs du Soleil

Fleurs du Soleil is a floral design studio providing a unique and natural sense of style to the local floral scene. They specialize in extraordinary floral designs for weddings, events, businesses, and daily florals and offer beautiful home décor and gifts in their on-site boutique in Monterey.

In 2016, a lender referred Kim England, Owner of Fleurs du Soleil to the SBDC for help with a business plan and financial projections – without which the loan application would have been declined. SBDC assisted with these items, and she obtained an SBA Microloan to support her expansion and relocation. During 2020-2021, the SBDC assisted Kim with accessing several COVID-19 relief assistance loans and grants, and the center continues to share new business support opportunities as they arise. Over the years that Fleurs du Soleil has worked with the SBDC, they have acquired 7 capital investments totaling $488,825.
