Finding and hiring employees and resources to help employers in the current labor market are among topics of this week’s free webinar presented by the Small Business Development Center at CSU Bakersfield.  

Host and SBDC director, Kelly Bearden will be joined by Assistant Kern County Administrative Officer, Teresa Hitchcock, who manages America’s Job Center and Employer’s Training Resource for the county as part its Workforce and Economic Division. Hitchcock will discuss issues businesses are experiencing in finding and hiring employees, and available resources to help employers including tax credits. She will also provide an update on the California Microbusiness COVID-19 Relief Grant. 

Kelly will begin the webinar with information on capital funding resources, small business recovery opportunities, and updates on EIDL and other remaining available government relief programs. 

Questions from attendees will be taken.           

This marks the 129th in the weekly “Webinar Wednesday” series that provides reopening and current pandemic relief updates on available federal, state, and local funding options, tax credit programs, employee programs, and other opportunities helpful to employers and business owners.
