Maria Matias Music is an international talent booking agency located in Carmel, CA with over 30 years of experience.  Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, bookings were severely disrupted, so the Shuttered Venue Operators Grant (SVOG) became important to recoup lost revenue as the company has been key to the touring development of multiple artists.

The business manager’s years of managerial, administrative, and budgeting experience in overseeing contracts and finances impressed upon him the importance of getting a consultative review of the application package preparation and discuss possible options should additional information be requested, or other funding opportunities arise. Cal Coastal SBDC consultants provided 6 hours of consulting including review of application packages, and questions about other funding options. SBDC also advised on post-award questions from the SBA.
