Lavender Creek Co., LLC-Greenfield, CA

Lavender Creek Co. is a family run lavender farm and business on the scenic Carmel Valley Road in the same Santa Lucia mountains that form Big Sur. Clients Ryan and Myriah Hopkins came to Cal Coastal SBDC in May 2021, for help with their business plan and financial statements needed to get funding to expand their services to grow lavender in Monterey County. SBDC Client Ryan and Myriah Hopkins came to Cal Coastal SBDC in May 2021, for help with their business plan and financial statements needed to get funding to expand their services to grow lavender in Monterey County.

The clients had an existing business selling lavender on Amazon, but not growing and harvesting their own product. Clients needed help in the purchase of land to grow and harvest their own lavender. The clients were successful in acquiring the land and the consultant recommended they go back to the same lender to either get a 2nd loan or increase the original loan to include funds to install a water well on the property. Clients completed a business plan and are working on revised financials to support the new business model to grow, harvest and sell their own lavender without using Amazon.
