FTC Safeguards Rule 2023:Compliance is not optional!

In 2022, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) revised the Standards for Safeguarding Customer Information, also known as the Safeguards Rule, to improve the protection of the data companies collect on their customers. The FTC also expanded the type of companies required to comply with the new regulations, redefining the meaning of "financial institutions" to include a broader group of businesses, including car dealerships, financial advisors, tax preparers, mortgage brokers and real estate firms, to name a few.

If you are subject to the new FTC Safeguards Rule, compliance is not optional, with fines of up to $43,000 a day possible for ignoring the regulations.

The May Cybersecurity Meetup will dive deep into the new FTC regulations and how it will impact your business. We'll talk about the Safeguards Rule requirements and how ATG managed security services align with them.

Register for the webinar and receive an initial free consultation with one of our Business Advisors to help you be compliant!
